What are remaindered/bargain books?
Remaindered/bargain books are new, unread books that the publisher sells off in volume to reduce excess inventory. Sometimes, the publisher prints too many copies. In other cases, bookstores purchase too many copies and return them to the publisher for credit.
What do the publisher marks look like and where do they appear?
The publisher may place a mark on the edge of the book to identify it as a Bargain Book. This ensures the book will never get returned more than once to the publisher for credit. Although not all publishers mark their books, it is best to assume that the product you receive is marked. In most cases, the mark is a small line or dot. However, sometimes it is large. Products with excessive markings are not sold by Chapters & Verses. Since the publisher marks each book by hand and often not in the same location, we are unable to provide information on specific markings on each title. Below are two examples (circled) of typical publisher marks which may appear on our books.
Where are your products sourced from?
Our products are imported directly from the US/Canada. Each shipment takes about 1 month to arrive on our shores.
How often are new books added?
We envisage to add new books once every 1-2 months.
Are your products refundable?
Our products are non-refundable. If your order arrives and you notice a shortage or other error, you must report it within 5 business days of receipt of product. Please report order issues to chaptersnverses@gmail.com. Be sure to include your order number, and a description of the issue.
When can we cancel an order?
To cancel your pending order, please send an e-mail to chaptersnverses@gmail.com with the subject line "CANCEL ORDER". Include your order number and contact information please. Orders must be cancelled prior to issuance of Order Confirmation.
Do you accept international orders?
We do not accept international orders at this moment.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment into a maybank account via electronic transfer, cash deposit or cheque deposit only. We do not accept Visa, Mastercard or all other payment methods at the moment.
